During his tenure, he co-organized monumental events such as the Asian Games—the largest global sporting event after the Olympics—and the Conference of Heads of States and Non-Aligned Summit. Hosting over 200 global leaders in India’s capital, these events marked a turning point, placing India firmly on the global map.

Soon after, Harsh Vardhan became the youngest CEO of any public sector company in India—a record he set in 1983. Leading Vayudoot, a regional airline, he introduced innovative concepts like packaged tourism and night airmail services. Under his leadership, Vayudoot grew to become one of the fastest-expanding airlines in the world, connecting 95 cities and redefining regional aviation in India.

Today, Harsh Vardhan chairs Starair, his airline consultancy, continuing to steer the aviation industry with hisunparalleled expertise.

An Accomplished Vedic Science Expert

Saumyaa Vardhan, co-founder of Shubhpuja, is considered one of the most versatile and accomplished Vedic science experts globally, as an astrologer, numerologist, Vaastu expert. “Just like I worked on financial models and balance sheets for companies, I now work on astrological models and people’s stars and numbers. Saumya Vardhan grew up in New Delhi, in a home where math and science were deeply valued. Over time, she developed a strong passion for these subjects and excelled academically. She graduated as a Gold Medalist in Statistics from Lady Shri Ram College, India’s top-ranked humanities college, and later earned a Master’s in Operational Research along with an MBA in Finance from Imperial College London, finishing in the top 1% of her class.
Her career began in London, spanning 13 years, including over 8 years as a Management Consultant at leading firms. She successfully led complex technical projects, including SaaS and agile development, for Fortune 500 companies. She later focused on mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, operations valuation, and performance transformation for multi-billion-dollar portfolios.
With experience at industry leaders like Rolls Royce, Ernst & Young, and KPMG, Saumya gained a global outlook and a sharp ability to solve challenges—skills she now applies to every client interaction.

Reconnecting with Indian Spirituality

Saumya Vardhan, along with her father Mr. Harsh Vardhan, co-founded Shubhpuja.com to bring the wisdom of Vedic sciences to the modern world. She played a pivotal role in launching and managing the startup, overseeing everything from building the technology platform to assembling a team of 500+ service professionals and forming global partnerships. Within just three years, Shubhpuja expanded its reach to 15 countries.
